Therapy is an extremely individual process and will last different lengths of time depending on your goals and whether you are interested in long or short-term treatment. It is important to understand that you will get more results from therapy if you actively participate in the process.
I typically see clients for one weekly scheduled session that lasts 50 minutes. This can vary depending on individual needs.
I do not currently accept insurance, but I am happy to provide you with a monthly statement that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Therapy often involves highly sensitive subject matter and confidentiality is an extremely important part of the therapeutic process. Your therapy sessions are completely private and the content of those sessions will be held in the strictest of confidence. I do not share any information without your written consent. It is important to know that there are a few important legal exceptions to confidentiality, which are as follows:• Suspected physical or sexual abuse or neglect of a minor under 18 years of age.• Suspected physical, sexual, or financial abuse or neglect of an elder or dependent adult.• A client who poses a significant threat of harm to self or others.
